That's the first thing a coach ever said to me. And she was right.
I'm a born and bred Jersey girl who spent years shrinking my true self to fit in … starting with the accent I worked so hard to lose. There was never one dramatic moment I thought made me worthy of sharing my story. Just a lot of little things that added up to a lot. Until one day the weight got heavier than I could carry, and I was forced to change.
Like most of us, I had big dreams. Financial freedom, impact, deep love, a better life for my family. But I had no idea who I needed to become to create any of it, and no system to get there. I was lost, stuck, spinning my wheels.
Then my coach said it. "You're a Porsche sitting in a garage." Hard work was never my issue. Getting out of my own head was. But once I was handed the keys … a system and a roadmap … everything changed. My life moved full speed ahead.
Maybe that sounds too simple. But who says growth has to be hard?
As a professor, mental toughness coach, and mentor with more than two decades helping thousands of high performers and creative leaders, I built the framework I wish someone had handed me the day everything got too heavy to carry alone.
